A weekend trip to Santa Cruz

This is a 2 day 1 night self driven trip to Santa Cruz from South Bay. It's relatively chill so you can take your time enjoying each stop.

Day 1

Los Gatos Cafe
Great place for brunch. Taste great and for a relatively low price. Would definitely come again.

Natural Bridges State Beach
2531 W Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Davenport Beach
If you're adventurous, you can hike down the narrow path to the beach and take photo with the infamous swing. If you rather not, you can still enjoy a good view and sea breeze just by walking around the area from above the cliff.

Shadowbrook Restaurant
This is a really interesting fine dining location. Highly recommended to reserve a table from Yelp at least a few days ahead.
Day 2

Capitola Beach
It's a pretty chill beach and all. I'd say most people are just here to take a photo with the Capitola Venetian Hotel (the colored buildings by the beach). The hotel looks okay (not sure how much it is) but it might not be the best place to stay if you don't like having nosy tourists taking photo right outside your unit.

Margaritaville
Decent restaurant. I'm not usually a fan of Mexican food so I can't really comment how good it is compared to other Mexican restaurants. Good ambiance, decent view of the beach.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
I came here on a long weekend so the traffic was brutal. (Not sure how's the traffic on an average weekend.) There's no parking spaces left from any of the official parking area so we ended up finding a spot ~10 mins walk away. That said, this is a pretty chill place to hang. It's more family friendly (especially large family) where you have a plethora of options to do. From getting onto the cable car for the view to getting your sun tan on the beach, you kinda enjoy both being on a beach and at a theme park. It also have an indoor mini golf course, pool, and arcade.
