Short weekend getaway at Langkawi
A lot of things like alcohol, chocolate, fragrance, kitchenware are much cheaper here than the rest of the country due to its duty-free status. It is however important to note that there are specific limitation on how much of these you can carry with you out of Langkawi without being stopped by local customs (especially when flying).
PS: Setting the city as Alor Setar because Langkawi is not an option. 😞

Day 1
Dataran Lang
This is the iconic "must see" spot in Langkawi. Can't miss the chance for a photo op with the eagle statue.
The Zon Duty Free Zone
We went to a few different places but this seems to be one of the cheaper place to do duty-free shopping. There's also a store right beside it which is worth checking out (and compare prices).
MAHA Tower
We came during the night we just look at the lights from the outside. The staffs told us that it's best to visit during the day to enjoy the city view from above while it's not as windy as night time.
Kuah Town Seafood
Honestly great seafood for a reasonable price. I especially liked it's soft shell crab and Thai style chicken.
Day 2
SkyCab
This is the cable car that brings you to really high elevation which allows you to see a large part of Langkawi (and the sea).
SkyBridge
It costs extra to get to the SkyBridge. There are 2 options here, to hike or to take the little tram (or as my brother calls it, "the toilet"). I did the hike and it's around 15 mins (with the trip back being tougher).
3D Art in Paradise Langkawi
This is a pretty interesting visit. You've also already paid for it as part of your ticket for the SkyCab. I think it's worth the time to check it out.
SkyDome
Pretty forgettable tbh. If you have a VR headset at home, you can probably get a better experience with that.
Day 3
The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa
Mostly just stayed in the hotel and enjoy the amenities and environment of the hotel.
Warung Roti Canai Penarak
We ordered Roti Sarang Burung Daging which looks interesting and it's quite crispy too!
